Job description

  • Conduct trouble shooting and repair of electrical parts and lights of heavy equipment including batteries.

  • Dismount and mount electrical components.

  • Disassemble and reassemble selective electrical components.

  • Do major repair and trouble shooting.

  • Implement preventive maintenance of electrical components.

  • Prepare and submit daily accomplishment report.

  • Prepare electrical part survey.

  • Attend to breakdowns.


Minimum requirements

Qualification:

  • Grade 12 / N3 / NCV 3 (NQF 4/10)

  • Trade Certificate: Auto-Electrician


Experience and Requirements:

  • 5 years relevant experience in Auto Electrical repairs of heavy equipment.

  • Must be able to interpret Electrical/Electronic schematic diagram of heavy equipment.

  • Repairing of starter motors, alternators, and other electrical accessories.

  • Rewiring/Re-harness complete light and heavy equipment.

  • Experience in Bell ADT, Doosan Front End Loaders and excavators will be an advantage.

  • Own transport to do standby.
