2023(for study year 2024)
MAYOR'S SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Breede Valley Municipality invites deserving students to participate in the Mayoral Bursary Fund. The financial support from the bursary fund is only a contribution to the overall cost of the study. Applicants must reside within the jurisdiction of the Breede Valley Municipality (Rawsonville, Worcester, De Doorns, and Touwsrivier) and must support and endorse our vision of A unique and caring valley of excellent service delivery, opportunities, and growth.
By creating the Mayoral Bursary Fund we are embracing the vision of the Breede Valley Municipality IDP by addressing the development of human resources with a specific focus on youth. Students receiving NSFAS bursaries may not apply. Study fields related to local government will be given priority.
Applications, submitted on the prescribed application form obtainable on BVM's website as well as at the municipal offices and libraries (Rawsonville, Worcester, De Doorns, Touwsrivier), MUST contain all information and documentation required. Please carefully note the requirements and conditions contained in Appendix A to the application form. Please note that the bursary will not cover all the costs of the year of study but only helps with registration fees.
Completed application forms should be posted to:
The Manager: Human Resources, Private Bag X3046, Worcester, 6849
or can be handed in at the HR office, 53 B Baring Street, Worcester.
Inquiries about the bursaries may be directed to Mrs. Sharyka Uys at 023 348 4962

FALSE INFORMATION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AND THE BREEDE VALLEY MUNICIPALITY MAY ALSO DEMAND THAT ALL MONIES PAID IN TERMS OF THE BURSARY FUND ON BEHALF OF THE APPLICANT, BE REFUNDED.
