Electrical Engineering internship at Afrimat for unemployed graduates

Afrimat based in Lyttelton, Centrurion, has a vacancy for a:

GIT Electrical Engineer Intern


Minimum Qualifications /Requirements

  • BEng/BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar/relevant)

  • Ability to work in a quarrying and construction site environment

  • Willing to travel to our Afrimat sites

  • Driver’s license & own vehicle will be an advantage

  • Based in Lyttelton, Centurion

  • The candidate must be medically fit in terms the Mine Health and Safety Act

  • Clear criminal record essential

  • Must be able to work under pressure

  • Must be computer literate


Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Complete Government Certificate of Competence Program

  • Form part of multiple maintenance improvement projects across Afrimat

  • Assist in improving operational efficiency

  • Ensure fast tracking multiple continuous improvement initiatives

  • Attend site meetings to understand system requirements

  • Implement operational technologies to improve production measurements

  • Offer post implementation support to back-end maintenance
