Introduction
Grain Field Chickens, a subsidiary of VKB Agriculture (PTY)Ltd, is a dynamic role player in the integrated broiler industry with an abattoir in Reitz in the North Eastern Free State. We offer you the opportunity to establish yourself within a professional, corporate environment in the countryside.
JOB FUNCTION
The Human Resources Graduate position will develop core skills in the areas outlined below by undertaking the required on-the-job training, by assisting various HR Team Members with different HR-related related tasks to obtain valuable on-the-job experience.
Requirements
Completed 3-year Human Resources Qualification.
Computer Literate in MS office package is essential.
Must be joining an Internship/ Graduate Program for the first time.
A willingness to work overtime including weekends, when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Please note the tasks outlined below will be performed under the guidance and supervision of the applicable trainer, until such a time the candidate is signed off as fully competent in all areas:
Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Recruitment and Skills Development/ Training
Provide administrative support to all Departments within GFC.
Advise and provide support to all Stakeholders in terms of Industrial and Labour Legislation - ensuring effective service delivery.
Provide effective and efficient IR advice, support & administration within set guidelines and deadlines.
Ensure strict adherence to the LRA, BCEA and organizational standards, policies and procedures.
Ensure that all stakeholders and customers are well informed at all times and establish a free flow of information.
Ensure timeous & accurate actioning of employee time & attendance.
Ensure strict compliance with all relevant standards of documentation.
Ensure departmental directives adhered to in the execution of all tasks.
Work with electronic documents, shift and attendance registers.
Data entry/ Capturing of high volumes of data.
Handling administrative and HR-related queries.
Manage own workload identifying improvements and issues.
Skills Development & Training.
Compiling Monthly Reports.
Recruitment/ Talent Sourcing & Selection.
BBBEE-related administration.
Respond to general HR queries and escalate issues of concern to Management.
Provide quality resource and support to the manufacturing teams.
Provide information and analysis of data as directed/ required.
Communication with employees and management.
Any other duties as may be required by management.
Skills Required
High level of computer literacy and the ability to learn how to use HR and other relevant Company Systems.
In-depth knowledge of South African Labor Law and HR best practices.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
Able to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
