PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide an opportunity for successful candidates to participate in an Instrument Mechanician learnership programme in order to attain artisanship by means of trade testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Completed N3 or NCV4 certificate in Electrical Engineering (Light Current Instrumentation).
Subjects at N3 level: Mathematics, Industrial Electronics, Digital Electronics, Industrial Instrumentation.
Must have a basic understanding of the applicable trade.
Medically fit for both plants (BMR and PMR)
TRAINING PROGRAMME / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Forty-Two (42) months learnership with a set training programme under the auspices of the MQA.
The learnership will also provide the incumbent with a sound understanding on how to conduct in depth maintenance and repairs of industrial instrumentation to ensure maximum optimisation and minimum downtime of the production sections.
