INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The East London Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd is a State-Owned Corporation set up by government through the South African Industrial Development Zones Programme (now the South African Special Economic Zones Programme) to develop, operate and maintain modern infrastructure and to complementary attract strategic investments for the region.

The East London IDZ is looking for interns to be exposed in the following fields for a period of up to 24 months subject to the conditions of the internship agreement to be signed after appointment:

Area of Exposure: Human Capital Management x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Human Resources Management / Industrial Psychology

Area of Exposure: Science and Technology Park: Laboratory x4

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Microbiology / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Food Technology

Area of Exposure: Financial Management x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Accounting / Financial Accounting

Area of Exposure: Business Analyst x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Accounting / Financial Management

Area of Exposure: Science and Technology Park: Research x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Agricultural Economics / Economics/ Business Management

Area of Exposure: Science and Technology Park: Design Centre x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering

Area of Exposure: Quality Management x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Quality Management / Quality Assurance / Industrial Engineering / Business Analysis

Area of Exposure: Environmental Management x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Environmental Sciences Studies / Environmental Management

Area of Exposure: Information Communication and Technology: Administrator x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Office Management and Technology / Office Administration / Business Administration / Business Management

Area of Exposure: Maintenance and Facilities: Project Management x1

Qualification Required: • M+ 3 Qualification in Operations Management / Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering

Other Requirements:

• Relevant studies have been completed

• The ELIDZ is committed to giving preference to suitably qualified persons with Disabilities in the relevant respective areas of the internship

• South African citizen (preference will be given to applicants from Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality)

• You must not be studying full-time

• You must be unemployed

• You must not have relevant experience

• You must not have relevant experience pertaining to your field of study

• You must not have participated in any other internship which is not a syllabus requirement / In-service programme

• First preference will be given to top performers academically

• You must be between the age of 18 - 35 years
