Position Purpose:
Programme is to develop a pipeline for key roles within various departments within Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) :
• People Management - Payroll
• ICT- (Digital Solutions Centre, web Methods, Digital Solutions Centre, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Solutions Centre
• Legal Risk & Compliance (Safety and Environment, ERM)
• Corporate Services (Business Planning & Performance Monitoring)
• Corporate Affairs
• Corporate Services- Strategy
• Finance: Financial Accounting
• Finance: Fixed Assets
• Supply Chain Management
The Young Professional in Training is a structured 24-month training programme. The programme seeks to place Young
Professional in specific areas within TPT according to their academic background, career aspirations and business
requirements.
Position outputs:
• Follow a structure training programme
• Undergo performance reviews and assessments every 6 (six) months
• Submit monthly reports
• Perform all duties as contained in his/her development programme as well as which he/she may reasonably be required to
perform by Transnet Port Terminals
Qualifications & Experience:
• BSc-Information Technology/ Computer Science
• Bcom-Business Information Systems
• BSc-Hnrs/ MSc - Computers Science/ IT, AI/ML Research
• Degree Risk/Project Risk Management
• Degree in Safety Management or Environmental Management or Quality Management
• Degree Risk/Project Risk Management
• Degree in Safety Management or Environmental Management or Quality Management
• BCom / Bachelor of Business Science, BSc (Mathematics, Statistics or Economic/ Econometrics)
• IT systems developer or 2. IT Systems designer qualification.
• Any Commercial Qualification with Economics, Finance, Accounting, Economic Research, Strategy or project management
• Btech /HR Diploma
• Bcom Accounting (NQF7)
• B-degree SCM/Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics
Competencies:
• Must have above average computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
• Must have good administration and organisation skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to conduct research
• Ability to perform within an integrated team environment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Professional attitude and a willingness to learn
• Good time management
Position Based in Richards Bay. Preference will be given to applicants within King Cetshwayo District
