Maintenance Assistant for experienced youth at Rainbow Chicken

Maintenance Assistant - Carolina Role Purpose: Rendering assistance to Maintenance Handyman in the execution of all electrical, mechanical and civil maintenance and repair of Agriculture related machinery and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Senior Certificate or similar technical qualification (N3)

​Required Experience:

  • 2-3 years Welding; measuring; knowledge of tools and correct application thereof

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Welding; measuring; knowledge of tools and correct application thereof

Key Responsibilities: Mechanical and Electrical

  • Inspection of machinery and equipment as per supplier requirements set out in the maintenance manuals

  • Maintenance and repair of all Agriculture related machinery and equipment in accordance to the maintenance plan and schedule

  • Repair of Agriculture related machinery and equipment per breakdown

Agriculture related machinery and equipment:

  • Standby Generator

  • Cooling System

  • Air Handling Units

  • Humidification System

  • Setter Machines

  • Hatcher Machines

  • Transfer table

  • Vaccine table

  • Carousel

  • Crusher

  • Unicorn Washer

  • HP Pump

  • Compressors

  • Pallet Jacks

  • Purification Plant

  • Irrigation Pump

  • Heater

  • Feeders

  • Drinkers

  • Louvers

  • Fans

  • Lights

Civil

  • Inspection of water systems and main water supply as per maintenance schedule

  • Maintenance and repair of water systems and water supply in accordance to the maintenance plan and schedule

  • Repair of water systems and water supply per breakdown

  • Repair of plumbing systems in Agriculture residential buildings per breakdown

  • Maintenance and repair of Agriculture buildings as per maintenance schedule

  • Maintenance and repair of Agriculture residential buildings per maintenance schedule

Electrical Maintenance

  • Electrical repair on Agriculture residential buildings per breakdown

  • Electrical maintenance and repair on Agriculture buildings per maintenance schedule

General

  • Execution of all reasonable instructions issued by artisan and handyman of daily tasks

  • Execution of all reasonable instructions issued by authorized personnel/ management

  • Daily inspection of all agriculture related machinery, equipment and constructions for prevention of breakdowns.
