Engineering Assistant
New Age Engineering Solutions is a project management, professional welding and mechanical service provider to the South African mechanical industry through highly qualified and skilled team members. New Age seeks to employ an Engineering Assistant to join the team.

Location: Eskom Koeberg Nuclear Power Station (Cape Town)
Contract Duration: 9 Months
Responsibilities:
Investigate defects and work requests.
Complete work package history records and authentication.
Interpret isometric drawings, flow diagrams, ASME codes of manufacture and welding symbols.
Raise permits to work using a computerised system and perform the duties of a responsible person regarding plant safety regulation.
Provide technical advice and support to artisans.
Take out permit to work and perform duties of a responsible Person in terms of the Plant Regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Btech or National Diploma or N6 or T3 in Mechanical Engineering field.
Preferably have an accredited welding supervisor level 1 certification or equivalent
10 Years of relevant experience as a welder on high-pressure equipment and pipelines or > 3 years as a Welding Inspector / QC.
