Job DescriptionJoin our team as an Occupational Health Assistant, supporting the Occupational Nurse with medical surveillance and wellness initiatives across the VKB Group.
Job requirements
Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
Certificate in Audiometry, Spirometry and vision screening will be an advantage.
Computer literacy and proficiency (MS Office).
Valid Driver’s license (Must have a legal divers license longer than 10 years).
Must be willing and able to travel. (This position requires a lot of traveling)
The candidate must successfully complete designated courses within the first three months of employment.
Duties and responsibilities
Be the designated driver of the VKB Occupational Health Mobile Unit
Ensure that vehicle is in a safe and good state of repair.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections on the vehicle and arrange any services or maintenance as and when needed.
This position will require the completion of Audiometry, Spirometry and Vision Screening short courses if the candidate does not have these certificates already.
This position will require the completion of a certified Dover drivers test.
Assist Occupational Nurse with conduct medical surveillance examinations within the VKB Group
Assist Occupational Nurse with Occupational wellness initiatives within the VKB Group.
Assist Occupational Nurse with the entry and exit medicals within the VKB Group.
Assist Occupational Nurse with stock takes as well as ordering and collecting of stock.
Assist Occupational Nurse with coordinating Occupational Medicals and site visits.
Assist Occupational Nurse with Identifying, managing, and reporting of all Occupational Health Diseases.
