Part-time lectures at TUT for Department of Law, Safety and Security

PART-TIME LECTURERS DEPARTMENT OF LAW, SAFETY AND SECURITY FACULTY OF HUMANITIES SOSHANGUVE SOUTH CAMPUS Ref:25/406


The Department of Law, Safety and Security, within the Faculty of Humanities, is seeking to appoint part-time lecturers at the Soshanguve South Campus to teach the following subjects:

•Law for Retail Managers (LBM306D)

•Mercantile Law (MLW205D)

•Tourism for Law (TRL205D)

•Hospitality Industry Law (HIL316D)

•Legal Practice I (LPR105D)

•Corporate Law (COW117V)

•Commercial Law IIA/IIB (CWA216D/CWB216D)

•Commercial Law IIIA/IIIB (CWA316D/CWB316D)

•Business Law I (BLB115D)

•Law Office Administration I (LOA105D)

•Persons and Family Law (PFL115D)

•Civil Procedure for Legal (CIP216D)

•Civil Procedure for Legal Support (CLS115D)

•International Law (ILB216D)

•Casino Law (HCL206D)


Key performance areas/Core functions:

•Present online and contact lecturers and assessing students

•Be responsible for all general admin work related to the subjects includingupdating of study guides and lecture materials on MyTUTor and uploading ofassessment marks on ITS.

•Participate in the development of new curricula in line with the HEQSFstructures.

•Setting of assessments and marking of scripts.

•Ensuring that all allocated subjects adhere to assessment structure and timeframes (submission of marks, moderating of marks, and other relatedprocesses).

•Involvement in departmental community projects

•Compile and maintain quality study guides, subject files and other Teaching andLearning material.

• Liaise with industry regarding practical, Advisory Committee Meetings, Industry visits and other related activities.

• Attend meetings.
