• Lecturing: Setting, preparing, and conducting lectures (theoretical and/or practical)

• Creating study guides and course outlines

• Assessments, practical evaluations, and examinations:

o Theory subjects: Setting tests as well as three moderated examination papers

and memorandums towards final assessment

o Practical subjects: conceptualizing, designing, and evaluating projects and

practical assessments according to discipline specific rubrics

• Marking assignments and tests within an acceptable timeframe

• Participating in departmental meetings and subject meetings when required to

• General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks on the institutional

IT System, uploading teaching material on myTUTor and compiling subject file(s).

• Student consultation hours.


Minimum Requirements

• B-Tech/Advance diploma/Post graduate diploma/ Masters degree in the discipline fields required, in absence of a degree, proven exceptional industry portfolio of evidence can be considered.

• Possession of a master’s or doctoral qualification will be a distinct advantage.

• Expertise in Performing Arts related industry and skills are required.

• Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum of three years teaching experience at tertiary level.

• Applicants must submit a comprehensive digital portfolio showcasing their props and scenic art expertise. The portfolio should reflect technical skills, creative vision, and experience in props and scenic art projects.
