The South African Police Service hereby invites unemployed graduates who conform to the requirements for a twelve (12) months Graduate Recruitment Scheme at Division Supply Chain Management. The Graduate Recruitment Scheme is part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy.
Generic requirements:
*Be a South African citizen;
*Must be in possession of National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV L4);
*Must have no previous criminal conviction(s) or case(s) pending;
*Applicants must be unemployed, never employed in field of the advertised post and never participated in an internship programme relevant to the field of the post;
*Applicants are restricted to apply for only three (3) positions and complete a separate application form for each post reference number.
Intern categories with minimum requirements:
Graduate Intern: Tertiary Qualification is required (Statement of Results must be attached).
Student Intern: Practical experience required by the Tertiary Institution in order for learners to finalise their qualification (letter from the Institution not older than two (2) years must be attached).

Post: INTERN - WELDER (1 post)
Section: Infrastructure Maintenance Services
Location Silverton, Pretoria, Gauteng Ref Number SCM 01/2024
Additional Requirements:
*Matric with a minimum N3 certificate in welding or NCV level 4 with welding.
*Be in possession of N3-6 qualification in welding.
Core Functions:
Read and interpret sketches per request, Manufacture steel products. Obtain material for manufacturing purposes, Install cell doors. Manufacture palisade fencing, Load and unload of manufactured products. Transport and install manufactured steel products on site. Clean equipment used and working environment. Responsible establishing of facilities for maintenance service personnel on building site. Building foundation up to floor level, Plastering of specified walls according to plans. Building of disability ramps at all police stations. Responsible for demolishing of facilities erected after completion of project. Use and safeguarding of all equipment, material and cleaning of working environment.

Assist with construction Project Management tasks (PMBoK) such as Stakeholder engagements, risks assessments, checking of specifications, tracking progress document management, team coordination and supervision tasks on capital and planned maintenance projects. Assist with technical and general administration duties on projects in the Project Office. Assist with the architectural related tasks such as CAD drawings, checking of specifications, scoping and supervision tasks on capital and planned maintenance projects. Assist with general Architectural related administration duties.

A Curriculum Vitae must be submitted together with the application form.
Uncertified copies of an applicant’s ID document, National Senior Certificate and all post school educational qualifications with statement of results obtained must also be submitted and attached to every application. No faxed or e-mailed applications will be considered.
