WILDTRUST - Y.E.S. PROGRAMME VACANCIES
The WILDTRUST is participating in the Youth Employment Services (YES) programme funded by NEDBANK and is aimed at
reducing Youth unemployment levels. The YES programme provides a one-year work-based job training experience aimed at
affording unemployed youth practical and meaningful work opportunities.
If you were employed previously on a YES programme you will not be considered for this vacancy. The WILDTRUST invites
applications from unemployed youth, graduates and scholars who are between the ages of 18 and 27 years to apply for the
following vacancy:
OCEAN AND CLIMATE AWARENESS AND SCHOOL ASSISTANT

Posts based at: Amatikulu (Nqutshini x4, Dokodweni x2, Mbizimbelwe x2, Port Dunford (Nyembe x2, Sawombe x2 & eMahunu x2, uThukela (Macambini x6, Tugela mouth x2, Mhlubulweni x2, Mangethe x 6
Salary and Contract Duration R4 991.03 per month – 12-months contract
Requirements:
1. Candidate has NOT previously participated or been employed in any YES programme
2. Must be between 18 and 27 years of age
3. Must be currently unemployed
4. Candidates with a disability are encouraged to apply
5. Good communication skills (verbal and written)
6. Confident to stand and speak in front of the crowd
7. MUST have a SARS income tax number and valid email address. If you do not have a tax number, please make means to get one as soon as possible to qualify for this job and payroll
8. Be willing to walk from home to work daily and flexible working on weekends and public holidays if required
9. Computer literate and must have a working knowledge of MS Office programmes
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Grade 12, plus any relevant post-matric qualifications (i.e. Education) and volunteer or other teaching work experience will be advantageous.
Key Performance Area’s
1. Confidently and enthusiastically deliver informative and exciting Ocean awareness and environmental education, to school learners and community (Training provided)
2. Actively roll out the education awareness activities / plans as directed by the supervisor
3. Assist with creating and implementing education materials and programs
4. Willingness to learn and passionate about the environment
5. Engage with schools and community in a professional and respectable manor
6. Assist the supervisor as required
7. Work with other project teams during school holidays, i.e. Livelihood, etc.
8. Ensure health and safety of learners/students, teachers, parents, and co-workers always
