The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is calling on second- and third-year students studying Horticulture, Nature Conservation and Eco Tourism Management to apply for work-integrated learning placement.
Placement will be from 1 January 2025 – 30 June 2025 (Horticulture and Eco Tourism) and 1 January 2025 – 31 December 2025 (Nature Conservation).
Placement opportunities are only available in the following fields and gardens:

Requirements: Second- and third-year Horticulture, Nature Conservation and Eco Tourism Management students who are self-motivated and enthusiastic are encouraged to apply. Good grades will be a strong advantage.
Students who have already graduated need NOT apply. Students must make their own arrangements for accommodation.
Ensure that all the below-mentioned documents are uploaded on the application form as failure to submit these documents will result in rejection of the application.

Your goals while training at SANBI
Letter of recommendation from lecturers/supervisors
Letter from university stating that you need to complete work-integrated learning (this letter must reflect 2025 placement)
Certified copies of your results
