WIL programme for for unemployed graduates at MTPA (Graduates: Environmental Management, Zoology, Botany, Wildlife Management, Nature Conservation)

WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING (WIL) - UNIVERSITY PLACEMENT PROGRAMME FOR 2023 / 24 FINANCIAL YEAR


The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) invites applications from unemployed candidates to apply for a twelve (12) months WIL Programme for Financial Year 202312024. The following field of study from a Public University or Public University of Technology will be considered: National Diploma in - Environmental Management I Nature Conservation I Wildlife Management I Zoology I Botany


The programme will expose learners who are currently registered and studying at universities with an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts to practice-based activities.


Programme: Biodiversity Conservation

Field of study: National Diploma in Environmental Management, National Diploma in Zoology, National Diploma in Botany, National Diploma in Wildlife Management, National Diploma in Nature Conservation,

Base stations: Head Office, Onderburg Compliance Station, Blyde Nature Reserve, Verloren Vallei Nature Reserve, Nooitgedacht Nature Reserve, Loskop Dam Nature Reserve, Skhosana Nature Reserve, Mdala Dam Nature Reserve, Bushbuckridge Nature Reserve, Andover Nature Reserve, Songimvelo Nature Reserve, Barberton Nature Reserve


The WIL Students will receive a monthly stipend of R 3 500.00. Kindly note there is no guarantee for renewal of contract and/ or placement beyond the WIL Programme.


QUALIFYING CRITERIA:

• Unemployed South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35 years,

• Curriculum Vitae (CV) and Academic Records,

• Confirmation of required WIL Letter (Letter must indicate that the learner requires workplace experience to gain qualification, Letter must be signed and/or stamped by the higher institution),

• Attach an ID copy,

• Valid Proof of residence,

• Must be residing in the Mpumalanga Province,

HOW TO APPLY

• Candidates are invited to submit application letter, CV, stamped and/or signed academic records, stamped and/or signed letter from the institution, valid proof of residence and ID copy to the nearest MTPA 1 Stations / Nature Reserves, or

• Submit or deliver it at the MTPA Head Office, N4 National Road, Hall's Gateway. Mataffin, Block J Office J18, or
